Here at Small Gestures, we're trying to spread good will one umbrella at a time. Unfortunately, without your help, we can only reach a limited number of people. Here are the various ways you can help Small Gestures accomplish our goal:
Perform any small gesture you can toward another person. No gesture is too small!
If you are called to support this ministry financially, please do. Currently, each umbrella costs just under $6. We do not yet have 501(c)(3) status, but hope that will not discourage you from supporting our efforts.
"Purchase" umbrellas for your church or business to place near exits for any visitors who need one. Since we don't technically "sell" umbrellas, we simply request a donation large enough to cover the cost of the umbrellas and shipping.
We're looking for a photo or drawing to use on this web site and in marketing material. We want to help people visualize the type of effect a small gesture of kindness can have on someone. Picture a mother, with a small child and a couple of shopping bags caught in a downpour on a busy street corner and a businessman reaching out to her with his open umbrella. If you're a photographer or artist who is interested in helping us with this project, we would love to hear from you!
